St. Joseph is the patron saint of the Universal Church, unborn babies, families, fathers, immigrants, carpenters, foster families, those seeking employment, and a happy death.
St. Joseph is also, as the name implies, the patron of our parish.
St. Joseph is known for his humble obedience to God's will and for continually providing for the word made flesh and the Blessed Mother as head of the holy family. He is blessed by many titles in the Litany of St Joseph including Protector of the Holy Church and Pillar of Families.
St. Padre Pio said, “Go to Joseph with extreme confidence, because I do not remember having asked anything from St. Joseph, without having obtained it readily.”
For these reasons it is not hard to understand why St. Joseph has so many parishes and organization that invoke his intercession, trusting that as he did God's will in caring for those entrusted to him he does the same now.
